Students in St. Peter’s Second Grade are exposed to a variety of learning experiences, and are encouraged to work independently as well as in cooperative groups.  Highlights of Second Grade include the introduction of cursive writing, parents as ‘guest readers’ in March in celebration of National Reading Month, St. Joseph’s Day celebration of “Doughnuts with Dad”, and a May Crowning of Mary in honor of all mothers.  In addition, students of the Catholic faith look forward to receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation in March.
